Our Story
"Dad, this is the happiest moment of my whole day!"
It started with a 12-year-old ballerina. After long days of disciplined training — managing her diet, pushing through muscle fatigue, chasing her dream on the studio floor — she would sink into a warm bath and exhale: "Phew — ha."
That sound wasn't a sigh of exhaustion. It was a breath of pure joy — a sweet reward she gave herself for a day well lived. As her father watched her unwind, he wanted to make that precious moment even more perfect.
That father was Jiyeon Kim's partner in building PHEWHA. And Jiyeon — a former STEM educator with a master's in Plant Genetic Engineering — brought the science to match the emotion. She began formulating essential oil blends in a small kitchen in Seoul, creating steamers that could transform an ordinary shower into a therapeutic ritual.
Today, PHEWHA captures that universal exhale of relief — the "phew-ha" moment when you finally let go of the day's weight. We believe everyone who hustles hard deserves a vibrant, refreshing reset. No spa required. Just 10 minutes and the right scent.
